Dental Surgeries

dental clinic waste management

Dental surgeries in Ireland are now subject to inspection by the Health and Safety Authority ( HSA ) as correct segregation, packaging and disposal of clinical waste, such as sharps, swabs and other contaminated items, liquid x-ray solutions if in use and proper storage and disposal or recovery of waste Amalgam.

Rogers Consultants can provide a risk assessment to the dental surgery to ensure compliance in controlled waste management.

EU Regulations 91/689, directive, requires all member state dental surgeries to have installation of amalgam separators to prevent waste amalgam entering the waste water drainage system.

Having worked with Medentex GmbH IN Germany on waste Amalgam recovery programmes in a number of EU countries, Rogers Consultants can advise surgeries as to options in meeting their requirements under these regulations.
